A- Structural metal panels are installed directly over purlins and become both the deck and the roof. Architectural metal panels are installed onto a metal roof deck.

A- Metal roofs do not attract lightning. In fact, a metal roof would help conduct and dissipate the electrical charge of lightning compared to a roof that is non-combustible with metal objects.
