A - Structural metal panels are installed directly over purlins and become both the deck and the roof. Architectural metal panels are installed onto a metal roof deck.

Q - Does a metal roof attract lightning?

A - Metal roofs do not attract lightning. In fact, a metal roof would help conduct and dissipate the electrical charge of lightning compared to a roof that is non-combustible with metal objects.

Q - What is a galvanized sheet of steel?

A - A steel band with a zinc coating applied to both sides of the sheet.

Q - What is a colored sheet?

A - A steel band with zinc coating and a single color applied to both sides of the sheet.
