MAINTENANCE ROOFER- Job Description and Requirements (Apply Now!)

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Basic math reasoning and problem solving techniques
  • Ability to use and read tape measure
  • Frequent driving between service calls
  • Frequent lifting and carrying 30 – 50 pounds, occasionally more
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and occasional crawling
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Ascending/descending ladders and working at various heights
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold)
  • Ability to work overtime as needed (including weekends)
  • Knowledge of hand tools and power tools, ability to use safely
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Maintain all OSHA safety guidelines at all times
  • Wear proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Be on time, be responsible and be reliable
  • Directs water into repair area to test for leaks

Requirements/Qualifications:

Non-Essential Functions:

 

  • Set up and take down of ladders
  • Set up of warning lines and safety lines
  • Training of Roofers and laborers as needed
  • Conduct safety meetings with workers (Toolbox meetings)
  • Plan, setup & execute each job assignment with the aid of superintendent if necessary to ensure job is completed properly, on schedule while keeping within the safety guidelines
  • Completion of all job assignment paperwork including timecards
  • Troubleshoot problems that may arise and inform superintendent
  • Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor/superintendent

 

Requirements/Qualifications
